Ethnic Minority Voices in Tenant Engagement

Our colleagues at the Tenant Participation Advisory Service (Tpas) have just published a new report which seeks to identify the barriers to participation for those from ethnic minority backgrounds. Whilst this is primarily aimed at the wider social housing sector there are still lessons we can learn to ensure that our organisations are still open to all.

As we all know tenant management is so much more than the ‘bricks and mortar’ aspect of housing, it’s about communities and making sure everyone in those communities is able to shape the services to their own needs. To do this we must enable everyone to be part of our Co-ops and TMOs and we can always learn more about how to do this effectively.
