Workplace Recycling
Did you know that, from 31st March 2025 all non-domestic premises (i.e. TMO Offices) with 10 or more employees are required sort their recycling and waste. Under the Governments simpler recycling plans recycling is broken down into three categories. Business with less than 10 employees will be required to comply by 31st March 207
- dry recyclable materials – including plastic, metal, glass, and paper and card
- food waste
- residual (non-recyclable) waste
Dry recycling should be split between card/paper and plastic/glass/metal. All waste collectors should have arrangements in place to collect each of these and you should check the arrangements in your area.
There is no minimum requirement for food waste and your offices don’t need to have a kitchen or food preparation area for the requirement to recycle to apply.
A useful website setting out the news requirements can be found at The Business of Recycling England as well as the details on the government website
