Congratulations Pembroke Street EMB

Congratulations to Pembroke Street EMB as they celebrate 30 years of improving the lives of residents in the Devonport area of Plymouth.

In addition to the housing services they provide, 2024 has seen them awarded a grant from the National Lottery for £19,880 to provide a range of activities from their new community rooms. They are also hosting a whole community event on 9th August providing a range of activities and entertainment.

This follows on from a busy 2023 when another Lottery Grant was provided to expand and develop the ‘Wellbeing Wednesday Group’ aimed at improving the wellbeing of a growing number of residents through personal contact and saw members enjoy a series of trips and workshops. The EMB also funded a community defibrillator for the estate.

Part of the regular work of the EMB sees continual improvements and enhancements to the estate and included 12 new timber planters made by students at the City College and the Royal Horticultural Society rated the estate as ‘Thriving’ in July 2023.

Seeing the improvements the EMB has made to the estate over the past 30 years long may they continue to thrive!
